About the event

Take A Hike Into Southbury History as Southbury Land Trust and Southbury Historical Society host a hike at SLT's Fox Hollow on Sunday, Nov. 13th. Retrace the steps near Camp Von Steuben The German American Bund's largest (Proposed) Camp. This moderate hike has some challenges, but is mostly on level ground. All ages are welcome; however, this hike is best suited to older children. Dogs on leash are welcome as well. Hiking poles are recommended. The hike is approximately one-half mile. Trail maps will be made available. A brief overview of the area's connection to the Bund will be held prior to the hike by Melinda Elliott from SHS, along with Ed Edelson, who helped to coordinate the weekend's observances for the 85th Anniversary of when Southbury said NO to the Nazis.
