Members are the core to our success in protecting more than 2K acres of open space to date.

From Platt Farm, the first farm SLT protected, to old growth forests, critical wildlife habitat, and important watercourses are among the spaces now protected forever.

Land is expensive. And they are not making more. Moreover, as a conservation non-profit, we are entrusted to maintain these open spaces. Many SLT preserves are open to the public to enjoy for passive recreation, including approximately 15 miles of maintained trails.

Your gifts and memberships are invaluable in order for us to continue to protect  and care for open space.

Southbury Land Trust is a 501(c)3 conservation non-profit. We are not associated with the town of Southbury, nor do we receive taxpayer monies. We rely on your membership, public support and grants.

As a member, you are privy to special events tailored just for you. You also receive our monthly newsletter filled with a wide array of interesting features, and everything you need to keep up-to-date with everything Southbury Land Trust!

We have the best volunteers! Whatever your superpower-trail maintenance, educational outreach, archivist and office help-you are welcome here.

Members are at the very core of our success in preserving more than 2,000 acres of open space to date. Your membership allows us to maintain properties, keep trails open to the public, offer educational programming, and keep the lights on in the office.

Memorial Benches

Memorial benches and legacy gifts are a fitting tribute to a loved one's memory; or to celebrate an outstanding community or family member with a passion for the environment and wildlife.
